I would like to thank the Toronto Transportation Club for presenting me with this scholarship. It is a great honour to be chosen as this year's recipient. I have dreamed about becoming an elementary school teacher since I was a young girl. With this, I have begun my first year of post-secondary education at Wilfrid Laurier University. I am enrolled in the five year Concurrent Education program, when upon graduation, I will receive an honours degree in Contemporary Studies along side my Bachelors of Education.

It is with the help of this scholarship that this dream can be made possible. It is will the greatest sincerity that I thank the Toronto Transportation Club once again for this amazing contribution to not only my education but my life aspiration.

I would like to sincerely thank the Toronto Transportation Club for extending the Herminter Paul Gil Memorial Scholarship in contribution to my education. Also, I would like to thank Herminter’s father and family for establishing this scholarship in his memory. With your help and generosity, I have enjoyed 4 successful years of university and hope to continue my education at Teacher’s College soon.

I started my university student career in 2004 at the University of Western Ontario, pursuing a degree in business. A lot has changed since then, as I reassessed my goals for the future and pursued my passion in history in the hopes of becoming a Teacher some day. I have also changed schools and I now attend McMaster University, studying at home with just a semester left to go.

I greatly appreciate your confidence in me as well as your willingness to contribute to my education. My sincere thanks for all that you have done to help me reach my goals.
